Estefania Escobar is a multidisciplinary artist based in Miami, working across sculpture, fiber, installation, and performance. Born and raised in the United States and inspired by her Colombian roots, Escobar explores the tensions between cultural inheritance and assimilation. Drawing from Latin traditions particularly Catholicism, family structures, and gendered expectations her work examines how belief systems are passed down, resisted, and reshaped across generations.
Through material processes such as stitching, binding, and bodily engagement, Escobar approaches the studio as a site of inquiry and healing. Her practice uses ritual and repetition to address memory, devotion, and generational trauma, positioning identity as fluid, embodied, and continually negotiated.
